... May I...?
1. How did we do on the bake sale last time? If all went well, we may attempt another themed bake sale for Valentine's day. This time, we will need a big sign.
2. Tim seemed to have an idea last time we've met, something about a concert fundraiser. I'm not sure about the details, but Tim would. He also seemed to be more experienced at this than I am.
3. If there are spaces left over in the magazine layout, another possibility is a meet-n-greet type of fundraiser. We can announce this in a space in the magazine itself (sometime in late Janauary when people aren't head over heels over school quite yet).
What I'm thinking is something like a fan art/commission type of book signing. The magazines are free, getting them signed free, but if people want sketches from the artists they'll have to pay.
How do these ideas sound?

Hey, last bake sale we did, made $66.50 (after paying everyone back I think). And I was hoping that this time around we can make around at least $120.... and for the chocolate rose -_-;; that's pratically impossible.... we can make chocolates... if someone has Costcos (I think that's how u spell it...) membership card... and we can get like huge cheap bars of chocolate and melt and and make it into heart shape or something... and we can also make paper roses... longer lasting then real flower and less to take care of ^^
besides people who aren't single would love the idea and people who are single... hate the very sight of these things >< sorri... bit bitter currently... receant breakup incidents T.T
newayz reply or e-mail or call me about it... my phone number changed its now 416-895-8656
thankies~~~

Greetings:
The sign/autograph thing may work. I hope that our readership is strong and loyal enough to come out this time.
I have no problem against having a Bake Sale. Due to the winter cold, we can also offer Hot Chocolate at lower prices than Second Cups. This will require many thermoses though... but I think it can fly.
Ads are important as well. We require more ads and more publicity. Perhapes one could contact Biome and have our events put up there. It can be done.

... May I...? It takes a lot of time, effort, technique and equipment to create home-made chocolates (that look good, at least). To be fast and efficient, we will need moulds, "melting pots" and lots of fridge spaces... just to make Ok-looking chocolates. I think we might have to think that one over... However, with different types of moulds, we can appeal to people who are both singler and committed. This should increase sales. And if we are really interested, we can go to the Bulk Barn instead of CostCo. It's baker's paradise, that place.

Hmm I was thinking we could auction off all the single cp staff members on dates for Feb. 14. Nothing expensive like dinners, more on the lines of going out to starbucks, tim hortons for hot chocolate or going Tea Shop 168 for bubble tea. The costs for 2 people on avg. should be no more then 6 bucks. This would work best in the engine. department since there is too MANY guys and not enough lovely ladies. SO I would conclude being a engine. girl automatically gives them higher social and market value! Well from my observations anyways. ;D
Should be fun, maybe somebody will find their 'significant other'.
HOW EXCITING!

Hey everyone,
Concert thing wouldn't fly because it takes a lot of time to prepare. I talked w/ a friend of mine and he said that to do it requires a few months of planning -you gotta find a place, make a deal with the establishment on how the money is split (i.e. whether they make some off the door, or strictly off the bar) and pay the bands (unless they do it for free). On top of that, it has to be advertised and hyped so that the artsie weeklys (eye & now) cover it in articles = more hype. My friend did say that the cause sounds worthwhile, but I think that it would be wise to do something like this for Sept or Oct of next year. The other thing is that I might be transferred out of town for work -but as soon as I know for sure, I will know as to whether I'd be able to help with this (I put together a free concert once). Yeah, so let's wait for the green light from the exec (and for my company to say i'll stay) and then we'll see. But don't count on it for now (unless you wanna shoot for march/april).
To the singles and the broken up ones: Don't feel down/bitter about Feb 14! Bitterness is an unattractive feature -so just keep a positive attitude and good will follow . Bitterness is the rust that prevents magnets from attracting metals, so be free from that rust and wear a nicely polished attitude and you will find your charm pulling people almost magnetically (and no, i've not been sniffing any fumes at work -i'm being quasi-serious)..
Roses & Chocolates could work. There's a flower place on College just west of Spadina that has a decent deal on flowers (just order before so you're not stuck w. a Valentine's rush) and there's always costcos. Maybe we can make cards and put together little cute valentin-o-grams combining a flower + chocolate (hershey's Kisses are good) + card. I think it would be cool, and creative -so we can show what CP is about as well.
Anyways we should move fast on whatever we plan on doing. February will be upon us in no time, and I think that people will be getting busy when school pickes up.

Greetings:
I like the valentine card idea. I can help to write some nice things on the cards. I have no gift with the arts, but I can make something up with words.
Plus, it would be different from all the other cards you get else where.
CP = art club = flower services.
Perhapes we can charge to deliver?

Nah man... that kinda stuff can get soooo misinterpreted (it can land you in trouble w/ the cops if you deliver the wrong message to the wrong someone) ... Although I would always appreciate it if a beautiful woman came to me and gave me hugs and kisses -but at the sametime I would be so supsicious that something is up --like maybe there's another camera at work taking more pics for "Employee of the Month", an honour I've won twice and almost three times. If you saw the first pic, you'll know what I mean!

... May I...? We may not have the man-power to hand-deliver these candy-o-grams. It'd probably mean that some people will have to skip class for the whole day to do this. Alternatively, Genevieve did come up with a great idea of packaging candies (with cards & a flower, maybe?) with a tag or something that allows them to be personalised (with a hand-written name, with the flourishes, of course). This may be a good idea. Selling members of the CP...? Not a great idea unless we can generate a vast amount of publicity before pulling this stunt. However, if we couple the book signing and the date-auction together, we might have a chance. If we can generate enough presence with a free-for-all, meet-the-artist type of book signing, we just may be able to generate enough public presence so that we can rally enough people to bid for the wonderful (and available?) members of the CP staff... Just some further thoughts...

Hey... I think I decided. I haven't talk to Jenn about it yet. But if she will agree, we should try to start making paper roses, or even try to get real roses and cell them around valentine week. Plus, people who are willing can make chocolates and other baked goods and re-do the bake sale idea thing only this time have valentine day theme in it. And if possible make hand-made original cards. I don't think we should do the auctioning off the members thing -_-;; because first... I don't think anybody is willing to volunteer themsleves... and -_-;; its just plaine akward and werid.
newayz that's what I think we will be decided. And Jenn if you see this post CALL ME AT 416-895-8656 A.S.A.P thanks ^^

yeah April I'll call you tonight. I never meant to "make" chocolate - I meant to buy chocoloate hearts (eg.) and turn them into roses - but then we need to make a trip to the dollar store and stuff- they have tons of treasures. April can you book SS then? We can have "vendors" walk around lunch areas too.
