We've finally got the official dates for the club fairs at the beginning of September, although we still need to register/prepare for them and all that. I presume April will be taking care of everything on that front? In addition to those, we have a slot booked in the SF atrium for a couple of hours during the second week of September. Also, I don't know about you guys, but I think it might be a good idea to schedule a General Meeting / Meet & Greet for later in September where we can sit down with our new recruits, introduce ourselves, talk about what we're all about and also do some planning for future events and issues. Yesh/no?
Here are the dates so far and again, the general meeting date is VERY tentative. I just thought it would be a good idea to have one somewhere around there. What do you guys think?
Of course, no one will be expected to come out to all of these events nor stay for the entirety of whatever events they're able to attend. Just help out where you can and if we all chip in a little bit of our time I think we can handle it!
Anyways, all that said, we should probably start brainstorming for these events and what we want to do / have at them. The club fairs will involve us setting up a table, giving out copies of the magazine, taking down interested people's email addresses and generally trying to recruit new members. The quickie-promotion in the SF atrium on the 12th will be roughly the same thing, only with the added potential of getting in some fundraising and fun activities (soup/goodies/video game tournament?).
We still need to figure out what we're going to do about the banner issue. I think the general consensus at the last fundraising meeting was to use the cloth/canvas that Jess said she had available and make a banner with fabric paints. Should we try to arrange a painting party for some time this summer? Also, was there anyone working on designs for it? And how are we doing on the CP logo front...?
