... May I...?
Great pictures, and great stories!
I'll endeavour to come up with my own photos as quickly as I can... I promise all of you.
In the mean time, I think it's OK to share a few other AN stories...
Old Vel is not a "touchy-feely" type of person But on Friday night, an Aerith came up to me... with one of the broadest smiles (or was that a grin?) I've ever seen:
"Rufus! Can I take a picture of you?" she asked.
"... Yes, yes of course..." I replied. "Just let me put my sheet over my head."
... After the photo...
"Rufus! Can I hug you?" she asked again.
"... Ah... well... Yes...I think..." I replied.
... After she released me from a hug...
"Rufus! Can I give you a kiss?"
"... ... ..."
...OK... I did let her kiss me... It seemed wrong to refuse her. But it was weird. I was kissed by a fangirl...
I think I presently hold the highest counts of "glomps/hugs/kisses" in this group (surpassing Pocket!? How did that happen...) I think the only reason why I wasn't "glomped" outright was that I was a really convincing invalid. No one dares to glomp a "real" invalid.
This brings me to the next part. Throughout the whole weekend, I must have had more than half a dozen people who asked if I was a real invalid. One guy who had a table at the Artists' Alley asked, with a puppet of a green dragon in his hand: "I had to ask... was it a truck or a bus?"
I replied: "No, sir. It was a motorcycle. They have a tendency to run people over..."
And if you've watched Advent Children, motorcycles seemed to be the answer to transportation in the future... Definately something to look forward to... ~grin
