for those of you who are curious of how i drew the cover......... first i sketched it out orginally i wanted to put the band in there but since my weakness is drawing people, i decided against that.... so in order to get the perspective correct i went into 3ds max and just put a bunch of boxes together...... after i loaded it into photoshop added a layer and started the painting with the brush, the problem is i use too many shades of dark colors to hide alot of my fundemental errors in drawing, design, whatever... just edited, going to shrink down the pictures as pocket suggests, and yes it was my fault for the volume 2 thing, but i blame the sexy editor for not seeing that in the first place!

So basically what you're saying that it's completely your fault that it says issue ii, volume ii instead of issue ii, volume i.
Anyways, I think you should resize the pictures or at least host them on a site and provide links to the pictures. Having the pictures on the forums is warping the replies.

painted the backround first, if u notice this cover is alot brighter because i forgot to switch to cmyk color and adjust for the brightness/contrast...also the backround looks bias toward the right side so i free transformed the backround and painted the gaps inbetween. The building on the left kinda looks like robarts library.

by this stage most of it is done, i had to steal some advertisements from live sources such as dundas square, times square and tokyo. Due to time pressure i couldn't paint my own. Also since i didn't draw the band in, i used liz's stuff and posted them on the buildings. I put in the hello kitty advertisment as my baby sister enjoys that chubby cat.

initially this was going to be the final product because i didn't know what do put on the street, i wanted to paint people walking around but i was past the due date, it was late, blah blah blah. The picture looked 'dead', i didn't want to leave it just like that because it was suppose to be a downtown scene it should be happening and super busy.

this is how i did the windows, of course you can do this in color but black and white is just as good, it looks simply but when u paste it into the painting and shrink it down it looks convincing use the marquee tool to make straight lines, or the other one under it.
