From Toronto's Vital Signs* 2005
The Toronto Community Foundation (TCF) in partnership with CONTACT Toronto Photography Festival is seeking images that portray quality of life in Toronto. The selected images will be featured in the 2006 edition of Toronto's Vital Signs*, TCF's annual fall report on quality of life in Toronto.
The release of Vital Signs* receives wide media and public attention, and is distributed to thousands of local philanthropists, private sector decision-makers and public policy makers.
The project provides Toronto's talented photographers with an opportunity to gain more exposure for their work. Submissions will be reviewed by a jury of leaders in the field of photography, including: Stephen Bulger, Vincenzo Pietropaolo and Emily McInnes. Photographers whose images are chosen will receive full accreditation in the publication.
Selected images may also be featured in other TCF publications:
Vital Ideas - TCF's catalogue of high-impact funding opportunities for philanthropists.
Vital Impact - TCF's annual report on the difference that TCF and Toronto residents are making in improving the city's quality of life.
This is a great opportunity for Toronto photographers to gain visibility while supporting efforts to improve quality of life in our community.
Photos from last year's Toronto's Vital Signs* can be viewed at Pages Books and Magazines, 356 Queen St. West (near John) for the month of May. Further information, criteria and submission procedures can be obtained at Pages or by visiting www.tcf.ca and www.contactphoto.com. All submissions must be received by Friday, June 30, to receive consideration.
The Toronto Community Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to making Toronto the best place to live, work, learn and grow through the power of giving.
