Greetings:
I loved Richard, the indian guy. Especially when his accent changes at the end.
"It is because you Asian guys are too pussy to do anything about it!!."
Hilarious,
For the Riptide Project, Advent Childhe,

I believe this is only half true, if you look at alot of western media, asian males are portrayed as stereotypical kung fu masters and nerds which puts our identity passive males. They NEver get the girl and we're not as valued as much asian woman.
which is bullshit since by statistics alone, asian males make on avg. more then any other minority and yet we're getting shafted in the dating area....
our asian accents aren't considered sexy but spanish, french and italien is? what the fuck man!?

I agree - that is bullshit. asian guys don't get enough love. if only everyone can be more colourblind and appreciate not just what the media tells you to.

On the subject of dating and stuff, there's a show coming out on the Comedy Network called The Gamekillers. Basically, it's a set group of actors playing stereotypes who find a random couple and (individually) try to break them up through indirect means. www.thegamekillers.comThere's a little blurb in each gamekiller's profile on how to deal if you encounter them, most of which involve not saying anything. So very educational.

To little Lam: I think that stereotypes exist in every culture of every culture. If you see how caucasians are portrayed in most Indian films (conniving, dishonest people who speak hindi with a terrible accent and even their english sounds worse than that), you'd hate to be that white kid in Mumbai. Xenophobia is a trait that every society has, and it is an ugly said to people. I saw Deuce Bigalow European Gigolo (which, I must add, was part of a "worst movie ever" outing with a bunch of friends), and must say that I found the type-cast jokes pretty appalling. The movie was almost entirely un-funny (why was I expecting more from Rob Schneider?), but Eddie Griffin's lines were hillarious (the best is the croissant line). But isn't EG portraying a black guy from the ghetto? Isn't that a stereotype as well? Would that make me a bad person for laughing at that? (I'm not being sarcastic here, but am pointing out this fact to ask as to where do we draw the line?)
I think in terms of being considered sexy, it is usually up to the individual. In terms of what attracts a person, that would depend on a combination of looks and personality. I think that money and power could also play a part there --but everyone is ultimately different. I wouldn't want to be with someone who was attracted to me only because my skin colour was considered exotic or my accent (or lack thereof) was considered sexy. I would sincerely hope that she finds something else in me that she likes otherwise I do not know how long it would last.
It is our job to show the world that we are not part of any stereotype. If someone looks at Time Taweller, I don't want them to see just another time twaweller -nor just your typical run-of-the-mill guy who is only known for one thing: Time Twawel. My friends know much more about me than that. My close friends know me even more. Anyways, to add to what Genna said, we have to lead by example and be colourblind ourselves. And from there it simply becomes a case of "birds of a feather..."
To Pocket: Gamekilling is bad karma, unless you gamekill a Gamekiller. Thanks for the tip tho.
